05/2008 SYSLORE TO DELIVER AN ADDRESS RECOGNITION AND MATCHING SOLUTION FOR ITELLA

Helsinki, Finland - 5 May 2008 – Syslore Ltd. Itella Mail Communication and Syslore Ltd. have signed a contract for the delivery of an address recognition and matching system for mail sorting and electronic message delivery services.

By adopting the Syslore mCorrection® Receiver Matching EngineTM (RME) fuzzy matching system, Itella will improve the address and receiver recognition quality in their hybrid and electronic message delivery service and increase the level of automation in their mail sorting process. mCorrection RME system incorporates new-generation computing algorithms that can recognise faulty, inaccurate and incorrect address and receiver data more effectively and more precisely than was possible before. The system will be deployed to all Itella address recognition processes by 2010 in Finland and abroad.

The system operates as a centralised solution, which receives real-time address queries over a network connection from several automatic mail sorting machines in different sorting centres. If, for example, the mail receiver name can be recognised, but the address data is incorrect or only partly recognised, the system can find the correct address data from the address database up to the mail delivery point. Apart from increasing the level of automation in mail sorting, the solution can decrease the number of mail delivered to incorrect addresses and monitor the quality of address recognitions and sorting process.

A centralised software solution can also remarkably improve the quality and throughput time of address and receiver recognition for Itella's electronic and hybrid services. mCorrection RME incorporates open interfaces and language-independent algorithms that enable more efficient use of existing systems and postal data assets, and improve the quality of service.

The contract is worth over four million euros. "With this investment, we want to intensify and automate physical and electronic address recognition processes. Our goal is to ensure the profitability of the delivery business and to be able to provide quality delivery services for our business and consumer customers also in the future," says Kari Kivikoski, Senior Vice President, Itella Mail Communication.

10/2006 FINLAND POST EXTENDS mCorrection® LICENSING AGREEMENT TO AN ADDITIONAL MAIL SORTING CENTRE

Helsinki, Finland. October 4, 2006. Syslore Ltd. and Finland Post Group today announced an extension of their existing mCorrection licensing agreement. mCorrection® Intelligent Address Lookup™ technology has been used since 2005 in the highly successful read rate upgrading project for Finland Post's existing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and mail sorting process. The extension agreement broadens the project to an additional centralized sorting centre in the city of Turku in South-Western Finland.

The purpose of mCorrection Intelligent Address Lookup solution is to increase and enhance OCR read rates and accuracy in the Finland Post letter sorting process. The goal is to achieve significant cost savings and efficiency improvements by reducing manual mail sorting and minimizing misdirected mail pieces. Currently, the software is used in all letter sorting lines and OCR systems used at the Helsinki distribution centre. Because Finland Post has been very satisfied with mCorrection performance in the Helsinki sorting center, the license is extended to also apply to all letter sorting machines in the Turku mail sorting and distribution centre.

"Syslore's mCorrection has significantly upgraded our read rates at the Helsinki sorting centre. Furthermore, during the one year production usage, mCorrection performance has been constantly improving, and co-operation with Syslore has been very good and flexible. Therefore, it was a natural choice for us to deploy mCorrection in Turku as well," says Mr. Juha Nurmi, Project Manager, Finland Post.

mCorrection Intelligent Address Lookup is able to recognize addresses that an OCR reader has failed to read and identify correctly. It solves recognition problems at three levels: matches partially or incorrectly recognised address strings to the delivery point level, corrects wrong addresses on mail pieces, and identifies wrong interpretations (missing and wrong characters) made by the OCR engine.

By using mCorrection Intelligent Address Lookup, Finland Post Helsinki sorting center achieved the following approximate improvements in the mail sorting process:

- 45% of partially and/or incorrectly recognised address strings are matched to the delivery point level.

- 7% of totally unrecognized address strings are matched to the delivery point level.

- Altogether, mCorrection Intelligent Address Lookup changes the destination of every ninth letter.

12/2005 FINLAND POST TO UTILISE mCorrection® IN LETTER SORTING

Helsinki, Finland, 8 December 2005. Syslore Ltd. and Finland Post Group today announced that they have signed a licensing agreement for the mCorrection® Secondary Address Recognition software solution. The solution will be utilised in all real-time letter sorting machines in Helsinki mail sorting and distribution centre. The goal is to achieve significant cost savings and efficiency improvements by reducing manual mail sorting and minimising misdirected mail pieces.

mCorrection is a real-time address look-up solution that improves OCR (Optical Character Recognition) read rates in postal automation and letter sorting. The matching performance of mCorrection has been taken to a new level through its outstanding scalability and innovative combinatory modeling that makes intelligent use of all the available matching information and relations, allowing sorting to the person level. Because the software uses a Java implementation and open interfaces, the solution can be easily layered on top of the existing OCR and letter sorting infrastructure.

The parties are in the process of deploying the system and integrating it with OCR systems already in use at Finland Post distribution centres. The mCorrection address lookup solution will be a core component throughout the system, enabling a more automatic and cost-efficient sorting process. mCorrection is able to recognise addresses that an OCR reader has failed to read and identify correctly. It solves recognition problems at three levels: matches partially or incorrectly recognised address strings to the delivery point level, corrects wrong addresses on mail pieces and identifies wrong interpretations (missing and wrong characters) made by the OCR system.

“Our goal is to constantly improve the automation and quality of our letter sorting process,” says Mr. Juha Nurmi of Finland Post. “Despite use of efficient OCR readers there is still much human involvement and many bottlenecks in the delivery process. Another major problem is mail items that are sorted and delivered to the wrong delivery points, which causes a lot of extra expense. With an annual sorting and delivery volume of over billion letters, it is crucial to us that the automation level of the process is as high as possible. The novel and innovative software-based approach of mCorrection delivers significant cost savings and process improvement.”

Benefits of mCorrection secondary address recognition in the letter sorting process:
- Reduces manual mail sorting by improving OCR read rates.
- Minimises misdirected mail by correcting both wrong addresses on mail pieces and OCR
misinterpretations.
- Replaces and decreases manual video coding.
- Increases the effective throughput and quality of the delivery process as a whole.

“The most important thing to us is that our customers save significant amounts of money with our solution, explains Mr. Henri Tykkä, CEO of Syslore. We started marketing our letter sorting solution in the PostExpo 2005 exhibition held in Paris in the beginning of October. We are very happy and excited about the strong interest in our solution and company. Our team has developed the technology over the last five years with strong commitment and spirit. In addition our technology has been shown to be a market leader in an independent benchmark study. This gives us a competitive advantage, especially with the strict requirements for accuracy, scalability and robustness in the demanding postal automation environment.”

03/2004 SCALABILITY MATTERS - READ ABOUT MCORRECTION BENCHMARK WIN!

25 March 2004 | Syslore's mCorrection was the most scalable and accurate fuzzy search software in international competitive comparison benchmark study. A benchmark study "Multiple Column Approximate Match" was completed in February 2004 by the Helsinki University of Technology (HUT).

It can be predicted from the results that mCorrection is setting new standards in terms of outstanding scalability performance and strict accuracy even with the very largest databases (more than one million up to billions). mCorrection software performs significantly faster and is more scalable than the compared products.

The most important competitive advantages and technical benefits of mCorrection are:

o Unique scalability

Among its other differentiable characteristics and competitive advantages, mCorrection enjoys uniquely impressive scalability. Traditional algorithms might find the best match to a given string from a given reference database like mCorrection. However, when the reference database grows, these algorithms "suffocate" with demonstrable performance loss. mCorrection scales sub-linearly and can therefore unequivocally outperform any such competing technologies with no loss in performance. When non-trivial databases, databases containing in excess of several hundred million or 1+ billion records, are involved and heavy server usage are projected, traditional algorithms are simply not applicable and fail to perform acceptably.

o Multi-column search ability

mCorrection enables searches involving multiple data columns simultaneously. This provides for greater speed and accuracy as more of the information being searched for can be queried across more database columns at the same time - with additional performance enhancements derived from the auto error correction capabilities of the technology.

o Intelligent scoring

With the application of mCorrection, users will generate most accurate and validated matches first - and receive them in order of relevance. It is also noteworthy, that to the extent that mCorrection is customized for the user, the technology offers the added and considerable benefit of an additional capability to allocate different "weights" to different data fields, thereby further increasing the relevance of all results that are returned.
